DumbCals is designed to help you track food, calories, and macros with as little friction as possible. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information stored by the app

  • Food entries you log in the app
  • Custom foods you create manually
  • Your calorie goal and appearance preferences
  • Purchase status needed to unlock Premium features

How your data is used

Your data is used only to provide the app’s core features, such as saving food logs, displaying history and charts, restoring Premium access, exporting CSV files, and syncing backups through iCloud when you enable Premium features.

Accounts and personal information

DumbCals does not require you to create an account to use the app. The app does not ask for your name, phone number, or mailing address.

Third-party services

The app may query food databases such as Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central to return food search or barcode results. Premium purchases are handled through Apple’s in-app purchase system. iCloud sync and backups, when used, are provided through Apple services.

Data sharing

DumbCals does not sell your personal data. Data is not shared with third parties except where needed to provide app functionality through Apple services or food lookup providers.

Your choices

  • You can delete app data from within the app where supported
  • You can uninstall the app at any time
  • You can choose whether to use Premium iCloud sync and backup features
